AI Use Statement

Attach to every submission of a staged assignment. One statement covers the whole assignment. Where a process journal was kept, compile the statement from the entries. Two to four sentences is usually enough.

Example. "At the research stage (Level 1) I used [tool] to explain two terms in my sources. Nothing it produced is in my work. At the drafting stage (Level 2) I used [tool] to give feedback on the structure of my argument after I had written a full draft. It suggested moving my counterargument earlier, which I did. It also proposed two sources I could not verify, so I removed them. The evaluation stage was done without AI."
